The classic option in TV advertising is a traditional commercial, which forms a reliable basis for your TV campaign and ensures high coverage. You have a lot of leeway here, as a commercial can be between 5 seconds and 12 minutes long. However, if a TV commercial lasts longer than 60 seconds, the note ‘Advertisement’ must be displayed to indicate that it is different from the editorial programme.
A commercial break that is played during a running programme is called mid-programme advertising. TV programmes on SRG SSR channels that run for 90 minutes may be paused once between 6 pm and 11 pm, and every 30 minutes between 11 pm and 6 pm. This type of advertising makes it possible to place your advertising message in an appropriate context during your target audience’s attention window.

A reminder commercial is a commercial that is broadcast after a main commercial to reinforce the key product message and anchor it in the memory. This type of advertising allows you to repeat the message effectively and achieve an even greater impact. Up to three TV commercials for the same product can be shown within a commercial break. For a longer commercial, the normal commercial break prices apply. A surcharge of 10% is charged for shorter commercials.
The monoblock contains a single TV commercial and is placed either before or after a regular advertising block, separated by a programme bumper. The exclusivity of the stand-alone TV commercial enables your advertising message to attract greater attention and preferential positioning. A surcharge of 40% applies.
Multiple freely bookable monoblocks are available each week on channels SRF 1, RTS 1 and, from 2026, RSI LA 1 for TV commercials of 15-31 seconds in fixed environments. These can be planned in the EvoAd planning tool and reserved directly via our publiplan booking tool. The price surcharge is already included in the block price.

Placing a TV commercial first in a commercial break ensures even greater visibility, as viewers’ attention is still high from the preceding part of the programme. Opt for a spot at the beginning, as this positioning increases the effectiveness of your advertising message and leaves a lasting impression. A surcharge of 20% (SRG channels) or 30% (CANAL+/CANAL+ FOOT) applies for commercials placed first.
A lower-cost, but almost as effective, position as the first or last spot is the second or second-to-last spot within a commercial break. Placing a commercial in the second spot ensures high visibility and effective communication of your advertising message, as the audience is still paying attention. The second-to-last spot is a strategically sensible position, as the viewers have already tuned back in for the upcoming editorial programme and their attention is therefore increased again. A surcharge of 15% applies for placement in the second or second-to-last spot.
Placing your TV commercial at the end of a commercial break offers many benefits. Among other things, the audience’s attention increases again towards the end of the commercial break, as they are already tuned in for the next part of the programme. What’s more, your advertising message is the last one to be anchored in the audience’s mind, which increases the chances of it being remembered for a long time. A surcharge of 30% applies for placement in the last spot.
Make your TV commercial a winner with the powerbreak during live sports broadcasts! Short breaks during live sporting events such as alpine skiing, ski jumping and ice hockey (World Championships and Winter Olympics only) guarantee maximum attention in an emotional and exciting environment. For a powerbreak, the commercial length must be between 20 and 30 seconds.

A surcharge is calculated for exclusive placement in the commercial break, which is flexible and depends on the desired degree of exclusivity.
With exclusive allocation, an entire commercial break is yours. Give your product, service or company its time in the limelight! Take advantage of this unparalleled opportunity to place your advertising message with maximum dominance to increase your brand awareness among your target audience. The commercial must have a minimum duration of 270 seconds (SRG channels). For CANAL+ and CANAL+ FOOT programmes, the minimum duration depends on the respective break length.
An event commercial offers the greatest possible flexibility to customise and reinforce your advertising message in relation to an event. You provide us with two commercial variants for your advertising message and decide at short notice which variant should be broadcast. A surcharge is charged for this type of commercial.
Example: at a sporting event, you provide a variant of the commercial for if a particular athlete/team wins, and a variant for if they lose.
We also ask that you provide a neutral ‘zero commercial’ that has no connection to the event. This is used if the event is postponed or cancelled at short notice to ensure that your commercial is still broadcast.

Our TIME offer enables you to achieve maximum coverage while also benefiting from the high credibility of the environment and the associated positive image transfer. A TIME commercial is limited to 10 seconds and is broadcast without a commercial separator immediately before the programme.

Conveniently extend your social media influencer campaign to include TV and benefit from the enormous coverage of this medium. The influencer spot is made up of three 15-second videos in the style of a portrait-format social media story that are prepared as a TV commercial.
