COOKIES

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored by a user’s browser when they visit a website. The next time the relevant website is opened, the user’s browser sends the information contained in the cookie back to the website so that it recognises the user as a returning user.

How long do browsers store cookies for?

Certain cookies are automatically deleted at the end of the browser session (these are known as session cookies), while others are stored for a specified time or permanently in the user’s browser and then self-delete automatically (temporary or permanent cookies).

Want to block the use of or delete cookies?

The following link allows you to view the activation status of cookies from different providers and to prevent the collection or analysis of your data via their cookies: www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement

A central opt-out option for various cookies, in particular those from US providers, is also available via the following link: optout.networkadvertising.org
The [technical information on browser settings] provides information on how you can delete cookies in your browser. Alternatively, in most browsers you can use the keyboard combination Ctrl+Shift+Delete to open a dedicated settings window.

Which cookies do we use and for what purpose?

We use cookies to improve the user-friendliness of our website and to measure and evaluate the use of our services. For some elements of our website, it is necessary to be able to identify the requesting browser even when a new page is opened. We also use cookies on our website that allow us to analyse the browsing behaviour of our users.

Essential cookies

Certain cookies are required to ensure that we can provide our online services securely. This category of cookies includes those that:

  • Temporarily save certain user entries (e.g. content of online forms)
  • Temporarily store certain user preferences (e.g. search or language settings)
  • cookie_optin: This cookie is used to save your cookie settings for this website.
  • PHPSESSID: The cookie is used to save a user’s current session. This is required in order for sessions to be saved between requests.

WEB ANALYSIS TOOLS

We need statistical information about the use of our website in order to make it more user-friendly and to conduct market research.

We use the following web analytics tools for this purpose. The usage profiles created by the tools using analytics or by evaluating the log files are not combined with personal data. Cookies are not used for this purpose either. The tools use the IP addresses of users and truncate them as soon as they are collected. The providers of the web analytics tools only process data as contractors in accordance with our instructions and not for their own purposes.

For each web analysis tool, you can find information on the respective provider and how you can object to the tool gathering and processing of data. For tools that work with opt-out cookies, it should be noted that the opt-out function is device- or browser-specific and in principle only applies to the end device or browser currently in use. In addition, you can also block the creation of usage profiles altogether by generally disabling the use of cookies.

  • Matomo: Matomo is provided by Waterloo Quay PO625, 6140 Wellington, New Zealand (Matomo).  We use the web analytics tool “Matomo” to ensure that the design of our website meets user requirements. Matomo creates usage profiles based on pseudonyms. Matomo uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are placed on your computer to allow Matomo to analyse how this website is used. The information collected by the cookie about your use of the website is sent to the server and stored there so your user behaviour can be analysed. Your IP address is automatically anonymised so you can never be identified as the user. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is not shared with third parties. Collecting this information enables us to identify and count returning users. We also use the Heatmap & Session Recording module. Matomo’s heatmap service identifies the areas of our website that have the most mouse movement or the most clicks. The session recording service records individual user sessions. We can replay the recorded sessions as a way of analysing how our website is used. Any data entered into forms is not recorded or visible at all in the recordings.

NEWSLETTER

If you give your consent for us to use your email address for advertising purposes, we will send you a regular newsletter of your choice to inform you about other products and services offered by Admeira. You can object to the processing of your email address at any time in the respective newsletter itself by clicking on the link at the end of the newsletter to unsubscribe.
To enable us to tailor the newsletter more to your individual interests, clicks on the articles in our newsletters are measured, stored and assigned to the particular user. If you do not want this to happen, you can cancel your newsletter registration at any time as described above. If you cancel your newsletter registration, all stored data will be completely deleted.

CONTACT FORMS

We offer you the option of contacting us directly via contact forms, for example to send us questions and feedback about our online content. The personal data collected during this process (e.g. surname, first name, postal address, email address) is used solely for the purpose indicated.
If you have any questions about how your personal data is processed, please use the contact details on the acknowledgement confirming receipt of your notification or contact us.
We delete any data that you send to us via contact forms as soon as its storage is no longer required.
